Why have school lunches?

School meals offer your child a varied and nutritionally balanced meal, saving you time and effort in preparing a healthy packed lunch.
As a parent, you can have peace of mind that with the wide variety of school meal choices available every day, there will always be
something on the menu that your child will enjoy.

Payment And Cost

School meals cost £2 per day.  If your child is on continuous school meals, payment of £10 is required every Friday morning, for the following weeks dinners.
If your child would like to have the option of having a school meal along with a packed lunch on different days, please send payment of £2 each time they have a meal.

If your child is in Reception, Year 1 or Year 2 they will automatically receive free school meals.

However, if you are on eligible benefits or your household income is below the governments threshold, your child’s school can also get up to £1300 to support your child’s education (this is called the Pupil Premium), but you must complete an application form for your school to receive this support.
